When is the last time you took yourself out on a date?

by Sydney Peyser

Whether your single or in a relationship, when is the last time you took yourself out on a date?

I once heard that its important to put your oxygen mask on first before you put on neighbors. We often get caught up in our titles....i'm a mother, a wife, a lawyer etc, and we put everyone else's needs before our own until we become drained. We forget that we need to take time for ourselves even if its a couple of minutes each day to recharge our battery. When you date yourself, you fuel yourself so that you can show up in every role you play in your life with a much clearer perspective and with more to give.

This can be a challenge since we live very busy lives. Pencil in your "me" time each week. Here are some suggestions of places and things you can do on your date with YOU:

Book a massage

Take a bubble bath

Go to a movie

Do a workout class, such as spinning, yoga, pilates

Have a spa day

Go for a hike

Drink tea while you read a good book

Create a vision board and dream

What are some things you enjoy doing to recharge your battery? Inspire others and leave your comments below!
