Its a NEW year and the Clarity Juice team is sharing their goals with you! This is their year to thrive! Want to know how? Read on and then share your goals below!
CLEAN eating, mostly vegan (minus eggs): "This has always been a challenge for me, as my weakness is CHEESE! I absolutely love cheese especially those cheese platter at Henry St Taproom. I’m not a big meat eater to begin with but I’ll eat eggs so I didn’t want to feel like i’m limiting myself. I’m excited to be more mindful of what I eat this year and keep it to mostly plant based. I like the challenge of creating vegan recipes that taste good! Plus I’ll share them with all of you :)"
DRINK wine only on special occasions: "What can I say, i’m a social person who loves going out with friends and sharing a bottle of wine! I felt like having a glass of wine was becoming too much of a habit in my life, when really I didn’t need to have it in the moment. So I’ve checked in with my body, which tells me that when I drink wine I get acid reflux and feel very acidic and therefore should dial it back."
WRITE down my thoughts everyday: "Owning a business can be chaotic and you wear many hats all day everyday. Therefore I need to be able to keep track of my thoughts and reflect on different experiences I have and continue to learn from them! Plus I’m always like, “oh I should blog about this or that!”
BUILD a Clarity community: "One of my big goals this year is to create a space online and in the world that brings people together to share their goals and hold each other accountable. A community that encourages individual & spiritual growth. When we grow and progress in our lives we are happier! Having CLARITY about what it is you want for your life is a good place to start. That is what I want to create!"
Eat 90% Clean & Paleo:“Food is something I’ve always struggled with, ever since I was a kid. My first year in college, I weighed about 300 lbs and had a long way to go to instill some healthy habits within myself. It’s something I still struggle with, but I find it much easier to keep control over it now, especially with my dedication to a primarily paleo-style eating plan. I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself of anything, and my energy has been through the roof since I started eating this way. Let’s see how this resolution turns out.”
Don’t be so rigid in your approach: “Another thing I’ve always struggled with - I’m an all-in or all-out kind of guy. Either I’m winning or I’m losing. But it’s gotten me into trouble when it comes to setting goals - once I screw up, that’s it, it’s time to start over. But I’m realizing that mistakes happen, and they exist so I can learn. So instead of denying myself 100% of the things that aren’t great for me and then punishing myself for indulging later on, I’m figuring out how this whole moderation thing works.”
Run a 5k at a Sub-7 Minute Mile Pace:“I love running. It’s a test of the mind and body at once, and once you get up to running 5, 6, or 7 miles a day, it’s a high that’s hard to find anywhere else. My best time, on average, was normally around a 7:30, but you need to challenge yourself. So come this fall, I’m training to get myself down to less than a 7 minute mile for about a 3 mile run. Should be pretty fun.”
Be Patient:“This one is key for me. I’m always wanting everything now, I’m always thinking that it’s now or never. While I do believe that you always need to seize opportunities quickly, I also believe that it’s monumentally important to realize that, no matter what the situation, you’ve got time. I’m 32 years old and on the macro level, I don’t need to have everything done now. It’s all about growing and learning. It was all happen as long as you keep pushing forward.”
